Osteobiologics: the new age of natural bone and joint health.
Most people with osteoporosis or osteopenia looking to optimize bone health take calcium, vitamin D, vitamin K, and some trace minerals found in most bone support products. People with joint pain may chose between glucosamine, chondroitin, and MSM.
New research shows that we need a unique bio-active protein complex to make these nutrients work. What makes this complex so unique and powerful is the natural array of growth factors and stem-cell activating proteins known as bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs).
In the late 1980s these proteins were pioneered in orthopedic surgery in spinal fusion and are still used today. They also developed an oral form of the protein complex to treat bone and joint conditions including osteoporosis, osteopenia, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and fibromyalgia.
The protein complex containing BMPs is produced under the name Cyplexinol. This is one of the few products that bridge traditional and natural medicine, bringing 40 years of research and 20 years of clinical experience to the natural medicine market.
As reported in numerous clinical studies (11,000+ in medical and scientific literature), clinical improvement for degenerative joint disease is seen within days to weeks. The rapid onset is by an immunologic response. BMP’s within the Cyplexinol complex have a natural immunoprotective/immunosuppressive effect against pathways that cause inflammation and associated pain. As a result, you have a protein complex that naturally resists breakdown in the gut, activates, stem cells, and protects the body from inflammation, resulting in a very rapid onset of action.
Cyplexinol has been produced and used for years by orthopedic surgeons. Now, they have partnered with other companies to allow their products to contain cyplexinol.
Now one can replace high-quality calcium and minerals to fortify bone tissue or glucosamine-chrondroitin for cartiglage health, but Cyplexinol represents a breakthrough in the treatment of bone and joint conditions, activating stem cells, and working against inflammation.
I would advise using this with a functional medicine approach. A series of bone scans can be expensive and can only indicate changes in your bones over a six to twelve month period. They do not show your current bone activity. I use Metametrix clinical lab. Their Bone Resorption Assay measures bone collagen pepetide which reflects present remodeling activity. This test is simple and cost-effective, allowing you to routinely monitor bone resorption rates and the effectiveness of therapy. Repeated measurements will allow your healthcare practitioner to monitor the effectiveness of your therapeutic interventions so you can achieve the most benefit in the shortest time.
